Meet Katie Tebiscon
I am Katie Tebiscon, my spirit name is Zaush Ko Wass Ko Neh Zeabi Kwe, meaning “Blue Light River Woman”. I’m an emerging indigenous artist from Timiskaming First Nation. I work primarily with acrylic on canvas in a style that can blend woodland and realism together. My inspiration comes from the ability to use the act of painting as medicine, by expressing my spirituality, connection to culture/ land, and emotions.
